The Science Center | Washington & Lee University,

We began construction of this 86,000 square foot structure connecting two existing science buildings on the campus of Washington & Lee University in June of 1994. The project, which included the construction of a five-story atrium and the renovation of the two existing 45,000 square foot connected buildings, was completed in the fall of 1997. Prior to beginning construction, we worked extensively with the owner and the architect to help value engineer the project so it could be constructed within the Universityís budget. While analyzing the constructability of the project, we were able to reduce the original construction schedule from four years to three.
